Volunteering at Camp Boggy Creek’s Heart Weekend in Eustis, Florida, was a meaningful and rewarding experience that allowed me to connect with children living with heart conditions and their families. I was paired with a family and spent the weekend participating in activities such as sports, arts and crafts, horseback riding, swimming, and board games. Seeing the children enjoy these experiences, build connections, and simply be kids reminded me of the importance of creating an environment where every child feels included, supported, and valued. This experience reinforced my appreciation for compassionate, patient-centered care and showed me how meaningful moments of joy and connection can positively impact the lives of children and their families
