I have volunteered for this organization before and loved it! I decided to do it again and this time, I got to meet new people and have fun whilst helping conserve energy at UT. We turned off lights and any electronics such as projectors that were left on even though no one was there in the room or hallway. I thought this was a great way to help conserve energy here at UT.

Saving light in campus is a great experience, it makes you aware of much light could be saved by just turning off a few lights.

Keeping track of the number of lights our group turned off, it was amazing to see how much energy was saved in just one buiilding

We formed groups and turned off the lights where possible and saved alot of energy. I had no idea that so many lights were left on unused during the day and night. Overall it was a cool learning experience. Afterwards, I got free pizza and a massage. Definitely one of the more exciting volunteer events I've been involved in! Would do this again next year since this is the last event!
