2026 MLK Weekend of Service

ü  During the MLK Jr. Weekend of Service, Visionary Pathfinders will guide NC A&T students in a hands-on project assembling “Preparing the Mind for College” kits. Students will create personalized journals with guided reflection prompts, affirmation cards written by Aggies, motivational stickers, and a small stress-relief fidget item. Each kit is designed to support mental wellness, build confidence, and inspire middle and/or high school students to think about their future, including college and life beyond high school.

ü  The project will take place at the tabling location provided by the Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement. Volunteers will also learn about Visionary Pathfinders’ mission and see firsthand how mental wellness, self-reflection, and HBCU representation connect to college readiness. Completed kits will be distributed by VIP to partner schools and youth-serving organizations, giving students both a tangible resource and encouragement from current Aggie students.
