Walking in the Women’s Empowerment March, hosted by Black Period(t) Project, was a powerful experience. With Ladies of Excellence, I stood for representation and used my voice to uplift women, especially in Black communities. The march was a reminder that our advocacy matters and that change starts with us.
I loved engaging with everyone on a day full of love and not only encouraging students to donate but draw attention to the importance of their donations to help graduating highschool seniors take their next big step.
I had the pleasure of help planning and executing this workshop to go back and give back to the community that poured into me. This particular event meant a lot to me, because we were able to go back as graduates of these high schools and highlight not just college but the HBCU experience.
Enjoyed helping serve and cleanup my community.
Today I was able to make a difference in our community by helping clean up Bluford park. This gave me the opportunity to be in nature and connect with others while also protecting natural habitats keeping the ecosystem balanced.
Today I was able to make flash cards for children learning to read. I’m glad that I could be apart of an event that helps the youth grow and flourish!
