i learned a lot from the “read the room: college doesn’t come with instructions” meeting because it taught me about college etiquette that is not always explained in the class syllabus. i learned that when emailing a professor, i should be respectful, avoid using emojis, and ask for an assignment extension before the due date instead of waiting until it is late. the meeting also taught me the importance of arriving to class on time and respecting other people’s time. another thing i learned was how to dress professionally for different events and how the clothes i wear can affect the first impression i make. i will make sure to use what i learned in the future to become a more responsible, respectful, and professional college student.
