It was fun getting to organize all the stuff that they were selling! I got to see every single stuff that they call "trash" and all of it seemed to have some use to everyone, that really made me happy. Everytime I volunteer I feel like I am contributing to the world, and today was not an exception. I loved it.

I enjoyed participating in the City Wide Hold Up event with Easter Seals Central Texas. I was sacred about this volunteering opportunity because I am a really shy person.Having to ask people for donations is something that can be very difficult to me. I was able to overcome that fear of approaching strangers, and I am sure that this volunteering opportunity has helped me be more confident with speaking up and communicating with others, this is a skill that is helpful everywhere I go. It was a long walk, because I don't have a car. I decided to walk to the place where the event was taking place, and it took me around 30 minutes. The weather was not bad, and that is important due to the fact that we had to be in the outdoors. And we got shirts and food!
