I led a Study Abroad Session as a host, and shared my experience by serving on the student panel. We gave a 3 hour discussion to 120 UT students about the impacts, and importance on the career, and outlooks when a person study's abroad. We make also met up for 2 hours to prepare for the session.
I gave a college tour to high school students part of venturing crew. Venturing Crew is an organization that provides resources for high school students wanting to pursue higher education. I provide helpful tips to applying for college, how to be successful in college and as well showed the the campus and different class rooms.
I along with my six mentees, baked and passed out cupcakes to students in the pcl. We also printed out inspirational quotes that encouraged them to continue studying along with a tasty snake. Every one contributed equally in baking, washing, and distribution. I provided my email as someone to verify this community service project. I have group pictures to verify our participation.
I had the honor of volunteering at the UT Concho Community Garden. I along with my mentees were in charge of helping clean the community garden. We picked weeds from the ground, added water and soil to the plants, and plotted new plants.
