I was given a large donation project at my unpaid internship/Co-op with Velvet LLC. This project consisted of coordinating and consolidating 3000+ unit donations to four different non-profit companies. The companies were Midnight Mission, Dress for Success, MEND Poverty, and Clothes the Deal. I calculated exact amounts of units to donate to each non-profit through excel spreadsheet and then I physically separated the units and packed them into boxes for each company. Which were sent off to each non-profit’s donation centers at the end of the week. This project took a total of four work days that lasted roughly from 9:30am-4:30pm/5:30pm each day.

I tabled for Rent The Runway and spread the awareness of how important sustainability in the fashion industry is by renting clothes instead of buying from fast-fashion companies who waste an insane amount of raw materials like fabric scraps and how the production factories release toxic pollution in the atmosphere.
