Kate @ using reusable bags when grocery shopping

I went grocery shopping at Walmart, like I do every Sunday, and brought my own bags this time instead of using the plastic ones at the check out. This made my checkout go much quicker and I didn't have to dispose of the plastic bags when I got home and unloaded my groceries. I noticed that there was no one else doing this when checking out, however it was a great experience and made me realize how easy it is to make such a simple change that really impacts the environment.

    Kate @ walking trail

Walked the Razorback Regional Greenway trail and took note of the amount of trash that was present and visible on the trails that I walked. I also took note if there were trash cans or recycling cans along the trail. Took into account the cleanliness of the trail itself and the nature that surrounded it.

    Kate @ union observations

Observed students recycle their containers, reuse water bottles and how they disposed of their trash. We also interviewed the manager of the union food court and asked him about recycle, sustainability, and using your own water bottle for soda fountain refills.
