During this volunteer experience, I was able to help my church prepare meals for the homeless on Easter. wE Started out by cleaning the kitchen, setting out all the food we were going to cook with, and then went into cooking the food. While some people were cooking, the other half were decorating the dining area in Easter theme for people to eat. For me, this made it special seeing those around me making this experience more than just another meal to those we were feeding. It was also helping them celebrate the holiday if they were not able to. Overall, this volunteer opportunity was amazing.

Through this experience i was able to help paint picnic tables at shelby farms and get them into better shape. We worked as a team to find the most efficient way for us to complete each table quickly. This experience was well organized and very fun to attend.
In this volunteer opportunity I helped serve and prepare food for the homeless. I did this through high school and thoroughly enjoyed it so I decided to go back and do it again. While serving, I met some awesome people who had great stories to share about their life and how long they have been coming here to get food. After we got done serving, the staff fixed us food to eat and that was very much appreciated.
In this volunteer event, i helped pack meals, give meals out, deep clean the kitchen, wash dishes, and move furniture around. The people that I worked with made it so fun to do this event. And It was an overall great experience that i will be doing again.
While volunteering, we passed out meals from the Shelby County Schools. The meals were on a truck and when parents and students pulled up, we got the meals from the truck and gave them to them. When I was volunteering, I met some great people that were very kind through our time together. The event was very organized, answered questions we had, had a great system to do things, and because of that everything ran very well.
While volunteering, I helped cook meals, prepare food boxes, put stickers on trays, transport food to buildings, handout food to those eating, and helped clean up the whole building after we got done serving and cooking.
This was a great experience. Picking up trash thrown on the streets of Memphis, meeting new people, and helping the community made me feel good.
This experience was great. We spent our time picking up trash along the street that people had just thrown to the streets. While we were picking up trash, we had some people say thank you and you could see that they appreciated what we were doing. It felt good to help my community in a way that you could see the change right away. And the people I met while doing it made the experience even better.
