This day I volunteered for two hours at potters house. We helped put up the scarves, socks, and fixed up the racks of clothes. The staff was once again so nice and I can tell they enjoy the help of volunteers!

This survey was actually very informative on the page where it taught about nonprofits and i had no idea there was a nonprofit studies minor available to walton students!
I really enjoy volunteering here. The staff is always so nice. We mainly just help get the thrift store stocked with new items and make sure clothes are put up right on the racks.
I attended the research basics workshop that was done by Chelsea Hodge, this event was very informative and discussed how to get into research at the university of Arkansas. She was so helpful and I learned a lot about how to approach professors and what not to do. Overall this workshop was very educational and will help so many who are wanting to start research.
On Dec 1 I volunteered for 4 hours at potters house. I really enjoyed it and I always love how nice everyone is here. We helped put up a new shipment of shoes they had just got, and also helped tidy up the racks and put up other items. There is always so much to do so the time goes by fast!
I filled out the survey for Dr. Popp’s Food Insecurity class.
On November 17th I attended the Research Abroad workshop with Chelsea Hodge. This event was very informative and gave me lots of knowledge about studying abroad and how that works into research. I wish I would have looked into studying abroad earlier than now. Chelsea Hodge was also so great at giving us this information.
Did 7 hours for the Know the Flow- water quality- U of A Cooperative Extension at Do You your part and walk across NWA. This was a 5 week program that was made to get people active and to also pick up trash while you were active. I had to log my physical activity and the days I picked up litter. There were also zoom meetings with this program that were available on mondays to join and hear the weekly speakers. This program got me active and also encouraged me to pick up litter around Fayetteville that I saw while also being physically active. It allowed me to do my part.
Monday and Tuesday I went on hour walks with my dog and also did personal workouts both days!
Wednesday it was raining and I didn't workout (had too much studying to do)!
Thursday took my dog on another hour walk and to the dog park once the sun came out today, and I also did another workout today!
Went to the "Mentor Basics Workshop", I actually learned a lot and it was very informative! This meeting talked about specific majors and when we need to be speaking to professors about our thesis, how to ask our professor, how to look for a professor in our particular college, and also just tips on what each college requires for the professor you choose. It was very informative and also let me know that I was behind and I wish I would have gone to a meeting like this earlier in my college career!
