A section of the Boys & Girls Club of Austin gather at Webb Middle School and plan out activities with students, in an effort to keep them off the streets. I was able to hang around with students, supervising a bunch of them, and overall, helping the club. It was interesting to hear some of the students' dialogue, as it reminded me of when I was in middle school.
I love to teach students chemistry, and when I was told my local Learning Center needed a chemistry tutor, I was the first one to ask for the weekend position and travelled back home to be able to volunteer. Plus, I go to spend time with my family! Always good times!
I truly enjoy coming home for the Winter Break because I get to volunteer some of my time for a tutoring organization, "Einstein Learning Center." I get to help middle and high school students with their homework, concepts, and school subjects. It is always a nice experience to share my knowledge with students that are struggling with a particular school subject.
