Inside Books Project is a non-profit organization where we write a personal letter and send free books to prison inmates in Texas. Many prison inmates are denied books and this organization believes its their right to reading and educational material.
For this night I wrote letters to spanish-speaking inmates since they are the most marginalized. They cannot speak English and there is limited amount of spanish resources for these inmates.

For this volunteer experience I volunteered by writing letters and sending books to Texas prison inmates. I do not know what crimes they commit to be in jail but I was able to send many Spanish-English dictionaries and other reading materials to Latino born inmates. This volunteer group gives inmates an opportunity to improve their situation.

I started volunteering at the University United Methodist Church on Saturdays mornings since February by feeding the homeless or preparing the food. It was a great experience to work with college students and church staff.

Every Friday since September 25 I would volunteer at Houston Elementary School with a student lead organization,Real Role Models for one hour/week. We would spend time with the kids by doing activities such as painting, doing science experiments, creating crafts or even playing outside. Our aim was to be a positive influence to the kids and encourage them to go to University.

Rez Week Volunteer
From 3/30/15 to 4/2/30 I volunteer by being part of the Outreach team for Campus Renewal ministry. My job was to reach out to people passing by our boards and having spiritual conversations with them. This was a special week since it dealt with Good Friday and Easter which was a great time to have conversations.
