Although it was short I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to serve Eastern North Carolina. I have made plans to return to these places and share my experiences with others.
One of the best experiences of my life that have helped to shape my future career aspirations. I am forever grateful for this opportunity and for the great team I was able to work with.
I spent time writing a letter to my pen pal at a near by elementary school. I get to work on my Spanish skills by writing to him in this second language.
I was able to tutor young girls as well as monitor their snack and playtime. With this opportunity I explored my interest in helping the youth and was able to help an organization in their daily tasks.
Volunteered for Open House to talk about the Jarvis Leadership Living Learning Community with incoming students. Shared my experience and provided information about the living space and program.
Orientation for ECU Writes was counted for an hour of work.
The Black Law Professions Organization went to the Ronald McDonald House to prep a meal for those utilizing the space while their children received healthcare. It's a great service opportunity and bonding event for organizations.
