The video was informative, especially for someone like me who has never truly paid attention to voting. The guide that was sent out was really interesting and provided a lot of cool resources. Although there were technical issues at the beginning, it was executed smoothly. It was just a tad long, but the discussion at the end was very necessary.

As an elementary education major, I spend a lot of time in and out of the classroom. In this unique opportunity, I had gone home for a weekend and volunteered in my old sixth grade classroom. Here, I was a leading lessons and helped kids with the various activities done in class that day. The classroom I volunteered in was a writing and geography block that lasted two hours, so I stayed for two blocks and got to talk/help over 60 sixth graders. On this particular day they were preparing and giving a presentation about a country they had done research on within a group. It was fun to be able to see groups of kids come together and discover/report on facts they had found, and be so proud about their accomplishment. I love being in the classroom, volunteering alongside one of my favorite teachers at my favorite school. I will be continuing to volunteer here whenever I get the opportunity and especially over winter break.
