The Omega chapter of Theta Xi hosted a 16-day food drive, collecting donations for the Community Action Center. The total impact time represents the hours spent over the course of two weeks for promoting the drive, collecting donations, and assisting in the distribution of the donations as the CAC facility. The images attached include the total chapter donations, a list of all the donations, a thank you email from the Community Action Center, and my personal donation.

Use Your Voice: Student Protests and Free Speech

I thought the discussion on the way people perceive the distinction between the first amendment the ability to protest was particularly interesting. I learned that they go hand in hand as well as oppose each other in certain situations. For example, colleges cannot prioritize a certain opinion over others because they would be playing favorites. On the other hand, students associated with a certain college have the right to voice their opinions against the beliefs of the college. Overall, this was a very informative and thought provoking meeting.
