I spent time getting to know the layout of the shelter as well as what I would have to do in the event of having to clean changes, outdoor areas for dogs, washing and setting up the cat cages, and cleaning the area for the rats. Overall I helped to wash dishes and toys as well as cleaning up the 'backyard' area for the dogs after their kennels were cleaned.

good advice but seemed as though helping the environment was mostly overshadowed by the social justice aspect
