Protesting and overall use of the first amendment allows us to push for change while also gaining information on issues at hand. Protesting is a construct that can be shown to be peaceful, loud, or even get out of control at times. It was inspirational to hear the changes previous students were able to make through the history of protesting and using speech to reach their desired goal. As a student here now, learning this information and that our University attempts to care for the voice of students, it makes me more likely to use my voice in the future. We have a voice and it is vital we use it.

I enjoyed the points that were made about environmental justice in relation to social reform. I think it’s important to care about the environment and make others aware of the climate change around us. I liked being able to learn more about how climate change currently effects us. Also, I thought it was important to talk about race and why equality should be a goal.
I was able to devote my time to help set up feeding and providing for the homeless. I made lunches, passed out food, passed out blankets and clothes, and other necessities to the homeless people that came to the church. I also was able to help organize all the donations we received for the homeless at the church. It was overall an impactful experience and it made me happy that I could help those who needed it.
