My small group and I made sandwiches and bought water bottles to give to the homeless. We all went to the store together, then went to the ground floor in Jester to make the sandwiches. We made a lot of them and had about 100 water bottles as well. We walked down Guadalupe and gave them to the homeless. It was a very humbling experience, and at the same time eye opening.

I helped with checking in and it was super hectic because a lot of people showed up. When it calmed down I went to go buy more things for the care baggies and talked to the people making them. It was a really fun and cool experience.
Zilker park clean-up
It was kind of hot, but it cooled down as it got later. It was nice because they were setting up for trail of lights at the same time that we were there, so we were kind of cleaning up for the show. Next time I would've just split the hours into two different days, so it wouldn't be so draining.
We helped watch the waste bins while watching the game and after we rounded all of them up and separated them into larger bins.
I went with Alejandra's group to pick up trash at Zilker Park. We went on Sunday with trash bags and just walked around and picked up everything we could find. It was a nice way of helping the community and a real easy project.
My mentor group and I prepared a project before the Thanksgiving break. We first picked some inspiring quotes and puns to pass out. Then we mad a poster that asked, "what are you most thankful for?" We stood inside of Jester and asked students to write one thing they were thankful for on the board then gave them an inspirational quote. It was really fun and nice to see how a little message could change someones day.
I volunteered with SHARE for a Longhorn Monday. I gave visitors, mostly parents and prospective students, instructions on how to get to The Union. It rained almost the entire time and it was super cold, but I had fun. They provided breakfast and even gave the morning shift a little thank you gift for still staying through the bad weather.
