It was a meaningful experience even though I only tied cards to the roses.. It means a lot to remember what happened and make sure that genocide doesn't happen in the future.

I liked matching books to different people and their interests. It was fun, and I loved reading letters and sending letters back.
It was nice to make cards and care packages for the homeless right before the holidays.
First of all, I love to wrap gifts. When I knew I was wrapping gifts for families who otherwise wouldn't have gifts for Christmas, it was even more special and fun. I even put on Christmas music for all the volunteers who were there wrapping gifts to get us in the Christmas spirit.
I helped out clients choose clothes that fit them and helped restocked the racks of clothes.
It was just great to help out all the kids in the school district by giving free physicals to make sure they are well and healthy. I found it to be a great way to help out and meet physicians.

As a volunteer, I helped out with the silent auction, greeting people, watching bid sheets, reminding people of how much time was left to bid, packing the jewelry for the winners to pick up, handing out bags to people for their prizes, and cleaning up at the end.
Volunteering for Scare for a Cure was so much fun. Scaring people to raise money for breast cancer patients is a great idea. I was a zombie in the surgery room and even though I had never scared people in a haunted house, I scared a lot of people and was such an interesting way to see how people react.
