I had a ton of fun at this event; I took my own dog to the festival and came back to volunteer. Everyone with Shalom Austin and JCC were incredibly kind and hospitable; the volunteers worked well together (efficiently) and we were able to tear down sooner than expected. Thanks for having me!

I met a lot of really lovely people--those who facilitated as well as those who were just passing through. I think I will definitely come back, as I want to be part of this on-going project... Would like to see it develop! Thanks for having me!
My time was spent assisting a domestic servant of a disabled woman; we helped her keep her home in order, as she was physically unable to. It was a difficult task, as it was a home for 7 people, but overall rewarding.
The facilitators were so kind, as usual. The event went by quickly and I enjoyed it because there were highschool students volunteering as well. They had lots of questions for me about college and I was so happy to answer!
This was for Dogtoberfest and it was a BLAST. Was definitely one of those weird Austin-y things everyone should go to at least once; super cute and everyone is extremely friendly!
Recruited those in need for part time and full time employment (as painters).
Was overcrowded but definitely got a lot dirtier this time around... makes one appreciate those who do this as their livelihood-- definitely isn't for everyone!
Marketed door to door in suburban Austin communities in order to beautify their homes.
Alejando Hidalgo's Cohort service project: distributed candy and inspirational handmade cards to students in preparation for their final exams. We had a lot of fun and it was bittersweet-- didn't get to see a lot of these people ever again!
