As one of the head facilitators for this event with The Settlement Home for Girls, we took a group of about 14 girls to take archery classes taught by Texas Parks and Wildlife at McKinney Falls. After we wrapped up the session we took a short hike to the lower falls area which is always an exciting part for the girls. Overall it was a smooth event and I was very happy to see the girls enjoy the outdoors.

We hosted a small group of girls from The Settlement Home for Girls at UT's climbing wall in Gregory gym. I, with three other people taught the girls how to climb and tie in their harness and then afterwards everyone took their turn climbing as we belayed them. It was really fun to see how enthusiastic some girls would get to climb and I enjoyed talking to them about my experience in climbing.

With Civic Engagement at UT Recports we took a group of kids from Wonders and Worries, which is a organization that helps kids dealing with parents who have a terminal illness, out to Mckinney Falls for a Archery lesson and some hiking. It was a really beautiful day and the kids seemed to be having a lot fun walking around and seeing the sights.

The Civic Engagement Center at UT Recsports hosted a group of Salvation Army moms and their kids to come and climb at the Gregory climbing wall. I helped supervise and belay the kids and moms and ropes, taught them the basics of climbing and just provided an overall healthy atmosphere for everyone.
The Civic Engagement Center at UT Recsports worked with a San Marcos Recovery group in order to help in anyway communities damaged by the recent floods. Our group were assigned to rebuilding cleaning up a local community garden. It was a lot of work with re-mulching all the walkways and pulling out trash but at the same time was a great experience since the people who were working with us were incredibly helpful and kind. Overall, it was a great experience working in San Marcos and was glad to make an impact in the community there.
This is the second time I work with RecSports at Bluebonnet Hill and just like last time, I had a great time. Although it was pretty labor-intensive and a little dirty it's always fun to help with gardening to contribute to UT's beautiful landscape.
At the Austin Half Marathon I helped runners get their checked bags with all of their things to them once they finished. It was very inspiring to see all sorts of people finish the race and to see how much exhaustion and pain some where in really where startling but also fascinating.
As a member of the Texas Monarchs spirit group I volunteered to design and collaborate with my president in order to make our final invitations to our annual group trip. We ended up with well-designed, simple invites that we hope to pass out soon.

Wrote a lot of letters to the soldiers of the Rakkasan. It was fun decorating and providing motivational letters to those serving. I also helped a little afterwards to clean up.
