During this meeting my group and I discussed the prior meeting as one of our members what not able to be there, we enjoyed snacks that had been provided for us an talked about the upcoming thanksgiving break.

Why: Weekly Conversation club meeting
What: We met for our weekly meeting for the ISS Conversation club. At this meeting we had a friend of Daphine join us, she is also in a conversation club. I printed out ice breaker questions, cut them into strips and had each member pick a piece of paper out of the cup with a question. Then each person had to answer the question. We had questions like, what makes you angry, and if you were stranded on a deserted island who would you choose to be with you as well as other. The students and I really enjoyed this activity as it sparked a lot of conversation and helped us learn more about each other.

Where: Uark Inclusion and Diversity club inside the Union
What: We met for our weekly meeting for the ISS Coversation club. For this meeting Daphine took us to one of her favorite spots on campus, the Diversity and inclusion section of the Union. This is a place where anyone is welcome, but where a lot of international students come to do homework, hangout between classes, and much more. We talking about our fall breaks, discussed plans for Halloween and question prompts that the ISS provided for us. Again, I apologize and humbly ask for some grace with entering these, I have been a little under the weather and am just now getting caught up with life. I also attached the screenshot of our meeting planning for this meeting as well.

What: We met for our weekly meeting for the ISS Coversation club. The members and myself met outside to enjoy the nice weather and soak up some sun before the cold weather rolled in. We discussed our fall break plans, and talked about political differences that we had. My apologies for submitting these so late, as proof I have attached a screen shot of our group chat discussion meeting times and locations!

During this meeting we discussed how the education systems in their home country differs from the education system here. Which one they preferred, and aspects of their education like how their relationships with professors differed.

During the meeting we discussed birthday celebrations, how they differ in other countries and celebrated Daphine's birthday that was over the weekend. We also discussed anything the international students were struggling with or didn't understand.

My group met for our weekly conversation club meeting, talked about words and phrases that were confusing to the international students, learned about their favorite sports, how they learned English and some of the cultural differences we all had. Showed pictures of our families and pets.

What: Met for the first time at Starbucks as part of the communication club kick off.

Why: To kick off the communication club program, and meet with our groups for the first time.
We met with out international students, got free coffee from Starbucks courtesy of ISS. Sat outside and got to know Cam and Daphine. Set a time and place for our next meeting.
