I got to help pack maternity bags at shared beginnings as well as help organize closets at the center. It was really fun getting to work with multiple other women as we packed the bags for mothers!
Had fun packing meals kits with other students and walking through the kitchen.
Loved helping sort bins at the Potter’s House warehouse. I look forward to possibly doing it again in the future!
I listened to two programs speak about their volunteer opportunities. One was with STEMx, a virtual tutoring service, and the other was with the Walton Arts Center.
While in Rome, I participated in the REACH program where I volunteered as a student teacher through the service learning project. I went into an Italian high school and taught students graphic design terms and applications in English. I created all of my lessons and then taught them to the students at Luigi Einaudi via Federico Borromeo.
Helped arrange Kappa Delta’s Angel Tree including- reaching out to the Salvation Army, communicating that information back to my chapter, communicating with Pi phi sorority for a joint community service event, sponsored one of our fifteen children, and did shopping, and set up and takedown for wrapping event. Also created the chapter wide spreadsheet, gave announcements at meetings, and answered member’s questions about donations/ joining the Angel tree team.
Donated $10 to Sexual Assault awareness month on Global Giving.
Volunteered to socialize some of the cats and walked some of the dogs at the springdale animal shelter.
I donated $15 to the book drive.
Co-planned angel tree with Natalie Kaplan for Kappa Delta. Attended meetings, did shopping for angels, balanced financial spreadsheet, responded to emails, and verified hours.
