Denise Zamora

I am a ULN mentor, I had the opportunity to be in the check-in team. I made sure that everyone signs in with their name and UTEID as they enter the internship fair.

I volunteered for Explore UT and interacted with students, teachers, and parents to help them navigate around campus. I enjoyed every minute because I took pride in attending the university and encouraged students to attend any university. I felt the volunteering made me realize how a current college student can make a great impact in a student's life.

As a ULN Mentor, I was part of the set up team for The 3rd Annual ULN Holiday Community Service event. I assisted the ULN members in providing what they needed to be able to complete the care packages. I made sure that each table had all the materials that they needed and that everything was running smoothly. I had a lot of fun and interacted with other mentors to complete the tasks.

I volunteered at the Texas Exes: Torchlight Parade and Rally as "Parade Support" where
I prepared and lighted torches, passed out torches, and lead the parade.

I helped students take their things to their rooms, conversed with students and their families while helping them move in, and I held the door in order for the students to easily move in their things inside.

Assisted with guest check-in and directing guests to sessions.

I tutored a pre-schooler with their Spanish, Mathematics, and Reading (English)
to improve those skills.
