    OSSA Meetings (Spring 2021)

This last meeting really made me come to terms that the semester is ending! And a part of me feels really sad because of how far we all came, but in the end, its time to start a new beginning and to set forth!
Also congrats to all that were nominated and received the spot for the next semesters E-Board!

Scholarship Night #4: Banking On Your Future

This last minute really went out with a bang. Ms. Saundra Davis' speech this evening definitely opened up to me and actually allowed me to view myself differently compared to how I was before quarantine.
Also, towards the end, when we broke up and took the little assessment on our finances and how we spend our open, it also let me notice that I do already do alot of saving? But I do tend to spend stuff on things I don't really need from time to time; especially during quarantine haha.

    OSSA Meetings (Spring 2021)

This meeting this evening was extremely helpful. It gave insight on colleges like Townson and Morgan. With questions from other attendees, it really shed some light on what we'd be expecting in going to college and what those colleges offer.

Let's Talk About It: The Aftermath of the 2020 Presidential Election

This session was not only motivational, but very educational as well. It was nice to have a speaker that had/has experience first hand, Delegate Ivy. He was able to break down the process of the election and what everything means, as well as what it means to be a delegate and how important these issues are that we vote on.

    Sistah Joy: Natasha Trethewey Interview

It was a touching, very heartwarming experience. No child, any age should have to experience what Natasha has been through. And although shes will affected by it to this day, it's so amazing how far shes come from her past and the trauma.

    Kayla gave to OSSA

This event was extremely helpful! Especially for first and second year students like my self. Having previous, more experienced students give a basic and easy to follow run down of what we should be doing, what's the best way to do it, and when we should be doing it, was definitely eye opening and I'm grateful to have had that sort of connection.

Scholarship Night #2: The Empowered Mindset

The speaker of the event was absolutely amazing. He was very energetic and uplifting and I'd love to have him again for future meetings. The event was very engaging and inspirational as well! Especially with breaking down some ways on how we can lift ourselves up and how critical our mental health and well being are.
