It was the last day of the tutoring program. It took a little while for the kids to show up, so we organized cookies instead of tutoring. We then had snack and had a fun day with the kids where we played games or colored.

I worked with Abigail, Paxton, and Chloe. Abigail was struggling with fractions, but Miss Linda was able to help her. Chloe was fine on her own doing a word search, and I helped Paxton with distributions in math.
The kids' bus route got changed so there weren't any kids until about 4:30, but I stayed busy by doing the dishes, wiping off the counters, and sweeping the floors. When the kids showed up, we ended up timing them during a multiplication exercise until it was time to go to the computer lab.
We played multiplication games. We rolled DND die and had to multiply 5 by whatever that number is, and then we would try to get as many boxes on the board by only marking one side of the number that we calculated.
I helped volunteer for the Holiday Toy Drive by donating a gift. I bought a barbie from the registry.
I was at the cutting station, cutting fabric into 9 inch strips. I also did it correctly this time so that's good! While we were cutting, we all talked about school and weekend plans. It was very nice and fun.
There weren't a lot of kids today so I helped three other tutors tutor this one girl. She first started out by doing a crossword, but then she moved on to reading her book which was about 9/11. She then taught us about 9/11.
I helped tutor a little girl. She was learning about time and how to figure out how much time has gone by. She also was working on her hundreds subtraction, which she was really good at :)
I was cutting the fabric used to make the pads. I also learned about how women and girls are still dealing with period poverty, and this doesn't only exist in other countries. It is happening in Arkansas too! I found that very interesting because I was not aware of that.
I helped tutor a little girl in math. She was working on reading and writing out three to seven digit numbers. Then all of the kids went outside to play.
