    Art Auction Event Help Needed!

Marvelous experience! Met the professionals preparing for the art auction; worked as a team with other volunteers to arrange the exhibits; and admired the paintings to be auctioned up close.

Happy to meet people in person! Arranging the countertops, handing out snacks, and chatting with people - a great start to the semester.

2021-22 *Virtual* Serve Your City: Craft Cards for Seniors!

We had a small group conversation and talked about the issues of isolation and hunger among the elderly during the pandemic. We also created craft cards for seniors in light music. Meaningful and enjoyable activity:)

Happy winter term! Glad to be a volunteer at the welcome table again. Say hi to passing classmates and chatting with people who are doing volunteer work together have warmed up this winter and lightened up the day.

2021-22 PSU Serve Your City: Craft Cards for Seniors!

This is the second time I have participated in this activity. Very pleasant experience. As last time, we first introduce ourselves to each other and then discuss the problems of hunger and loneliness faced by the elderly. After that, we started to make greeting cards. This time I made a "thinking of you" greeting card and put a purple origami peacock in it-"Lucky Peacock", hoping to bring luck and happiness to the one who received the card.

2021-22 PSU Serve Your City: Craft Cards for Seniors!

Joyful and meaningful activity! In this activity, we first discussed the food difficulties faced by lonely elderly people and the ways to cope with loneliness. Then we started making greeting cards. I finished a birthday greeting card, and put a red paper-cut butterfly on the card, hoping to bring luck to the people who received the card.
