It isn’t listed here, but this was a job benefits information session called “Virtual know before you go: understanding employee benefits”. I learned about different benefits a job should have, and how to negotiate my benefits and know my worth as an employee.

Emma was very helpful with information regarding the nursing school in Baltimore! I’m going there in the Fall, so it was nice to have some extra insight on what may happen while I’m there.
I learned very important information about making a resume! I learned that adding your address isn't necessary, even though thats how my mom taught me to write my resume. I also learned to be concise in my writing, that way there isn't a whole lot to read.
Joan and Nicole were very nice and explained a lot about the program. I misunderstood and thought it was just an information session about reparatory therapy. I didn’t know we had a program here at PGCC and that’s good to know!! I may be taking a different path but I will definitely keep it in mind if that path doesn’t work out for me.
Megan was really enthusiastic about the topic, and that made me interested in the topic as well. I struggle with self image sometimes, so identifying my strengths was really empowering for me. I also know how to improve upon myself in the future, and that’s going to be useful to me later on in all aspects of life.
My friends and I love the photo booth the most. Every table was friendly and happy to explain what their table was about, and I feel like I learned a lot about my options after I leave PGCC.
The host’s energy was so fun and I felt like I was in a room full of people!
Because of this event, I know I can take my newly gained right to vote more seriously, and will make sure to do my research so that I’m prepared when election day comes.
