It was really insightful and I was able to learn about the different ways that I could volunteer both on and off campus!

During this meeting we discussed the meaning of food security and the statistics of the amount of people in Arkansas that struggle with food security. These statistics included people in our local neighborhood. He brought awareness and encouraged people to participate in organizations to help battle these struggles. He really highlighted the importance of helping out the community and making a change.

I volunteered to donate blood at the Beat Big Blue Blood Drive for the American Red Cross. I was one of the many people that volunteered.

I was at the Walton Career Closet with other volunteers and it was an awesome experience. We were able to help out students that came in to check it out. Many students were able to come and take advantage of this opportunity. We made sure that every student logged every piece of clothes and made sure everything ran smoothly. I would definitely volunteer again.

At the Full Circle Food Pantry we were able to put each spice in their own little containers. There were spices such as cumin, basil, chili flakes, sea salt, and many more. We worked in groups of four so we were able to communicate and organize as a team. We filled up and labeled all six boxes of spice jars. It was a really good experience and I was happy to help out!
