During this service learning, I took images of a gymnastics class for 3-year-olds. I also took pictures of a dance class for 4-year-olds. During these classes, I got to engage with the children as well as the parents which was cool to see the Jones Center through their eyes. Many of the parents expressed how grateful they were for the Jones Center and all the amazing resources that the center provides.

This was makeup hours for missing on Feb. 22nd. During this time I drove around Springdale and Fayetteville area to hang posters and signs for an upcoming children's event. This was probably my favorite activity that I did because I got to be out in the community to spread information about upcoming event at the Jones Center.
During this session, I helped at the front desk with making a spreadsheet of children who were coming for a karate class later that day. This was fun because I was able to see what happens behind the scenes before the classes start. We also prepped the room that karate was going to be in.
During this service learning experience, I got to take pictures of the little girls who were practicing their skating routines. This was a very fun session, I got to witness how much talent it takes for these girls to do some really impressive skills. I have never really watched figure skating before so this was a great experience to see. I was also able to help the coaches and students as well with helping getting their equipment for them as well as providing them with water.
Since this was my first time at the Jones Center, I got an amazing tour throughout the entire building. I was able to see all the amenities that were offered to the people of Northwest Arkansas. My personal favorites have to be the two large indoor pools with water slides of course, as well as the ice rink. The fact that this is the only ice rink in all of NWA is something very unique to the Jones Center. During this tour, I was introduced to the different people that I might be working with. Everyone that I met was amazing and very appreciative for me to just be working there once a week which made me extra excited to get started on the service learning. This tour really gave me insight into all the amazing things that the Jones Center has to offer!
I was able to obtain a tour of the Jones Center. Although that was not my first time at the Jones Center, it was my first time getting an in-depth tour while also learning about the Jones Center. During this tour, I was able to learn about the history of the facility as well as meet those who I will be helping out during my service learning. We were able to talk about some expectations of what was needed from me, and what was expected that I do while performing these service learning hours. After the tour, I was able to see how many services are offered for those in the Northwest Arkansas area.
