I originally came for set up only, but I ended up helping at the voter's suffrage table for a couple of hours. Being at this table and informing my fellow students about the struggles that our ancestors went through to vote was very impactful.
This was a very welcoming experience.
Working with this group was an amazing experience. Having done previous walks with my grandmother who is diagnosed with lupus, allowed me to prepare myself for this event. Everyone apart of this organization made me feel very welcome.
I was able to observe how people in my potential career do their jobs. I was also able to donate blood to this organization.
This was my first Healthy Fun Fair and I was able to enjoy helping and directing vendors with what they needed. I was even offered a job after the event.
I learned a lot about nature and the impact that things like construction have on it.
Being able to tidy up my own university with this group was an impactful experience.
