4 hours in the cardiac rehab unit!!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays I volunteer in the Cardiac Rehab unit at Washington Regional. I do patient intake and vitals, as well as help set up machines and transport O2 tanks. Then record their data and input into their charts.

During the month of October I organized a tour of the UAMS / UARK OTD department for the members of pre-OT club. We toured the department, played games with students, and had a Q&A with faculty

This months meeting for the Pre-OT club we did a presentation over the OTCAS and students the from UAMS/UARK OTD joined us to answer any questions that our members had!

I got to spend 2 hours this weekend writing thank you cards to primary care givers at AR Hospice! I love this opportunity and I think it's so important

For this months Pre-OT club meeting we had some recently graduated OTD students from UARK/UAMS come share their capstone projects with us! It was so fun!

Pre-OT Club held its march meeting tonight! With midterms coming up we decides to make stress balls with all of our members! It was so much fun and everyone really enjoyed the activity!

starting this month, I got the special opportunity to start volunteering with AR Hospice and began writing thank you notes and birthday cards to patients and primary caregivers of patients! My mom is an AR Hospice nurse and was able to set up this unique opportunity for me! I spent 2 hours in the month of march writing cards and plan to continue!

This was a meeting for Pre-OT club in which we took new headshots for our Linkedins, resumes, etc! It was so much fun and everyone really enjoyed it!
