I made 10 personalized cards for 5 hours of service! I had so much fun writing these cards and I hope that the survivor that gets one of my cards feels loved and special!

Over this week I went on long walks with my roommate all around Fayetteville to pick up trash! We started in our neighborhood and found a bunch of trash up and down Rupple road. The next few days we went to different parks and also walked along the greenway. We found all sorts of trash like sonic cups and a bunch of cans. It was such a great way to get outside and get active while also helping the community! I did not take very many pictures but I did take one on when we got back from our first day walking with a bunch of trash!!
I helped the yrcc by giving snacks for their summer camp program! I have spent a bunch of hours helping with the yrcc and I was so happy to get to help on this drive!
I had an amazing time at my final service learning! I got there early to help out with whatever they needed and get ready for the kids to come to the after school program. I cut out a bunch of colorful feathers for the littles craft because they were making turkey hats! Then the kids started getting there and I went to sit and talk to the middles and spent the rest of the time with the middles!
I had a great time working with the kids on Monday! We oversaw snack then we cleaned it up and then made sure everyone had a book for reading time. After reading time I went outside with the middles and we played some monkey in the middle and some volleyball. Overall it was a great day at the YRCC!
I helped set up the halloween party! I blew up a bunch of balloons, set up fake cobwebs on the bleachers, set up lights, made two balloon arches and helped to set up the stage! We worked really hard to make sure the YRCC was ready for their halloween party! It was so fun!
I sat with the middles and I got to hear about their days! I also helped some of the littles with their homework and helped pass out cards for the kids to write to the Richardson Family! We also played some no net volley ball until the kids parents came to pick them up. I had a great time at the YRCC
I had a great time at my first YRCC service learning. It was a celebration of 28 years of the YRCC building being open so there were so many fun activities for the kids to do. I played bingo with some of the kids and pingpong. I also helped watch the three legged race outside. I mostly just walked around with the kids and jumped from activity to activity meeting as many of the kids as I could. I am excited to go back soon!
I walked around and picked up trash for service hours
I helped run the register!

Great-- thanks so much!
