Another week spent at Montlieu Elementary, working with a 3rd grader on his literacy skills and reading. Watching him improve every time we read brings pure joy to my heart. I understand the importance of reading and how fun it can be! So I enjoy helping him learn and improve his literacy skills!
I had the absolute pleasure of planning this event, seeing it come to life, and distributing the bagged lunches to the homeless community in Greensboro. In times from planning, reaching out to people, and shopping for the actual supplies. To hosting the lunch bagging event and then going around and handing them out to people in our community. I am more than thankful for this position as Event Coordinator and can’t wait for more events!
This service event was something that I have never seen done before! Very artistic but different. Had a lot of fun and so happy to help such a great cause!
Throughout the course of this week, I started working back at Elementary schools in the Triad area. Working with elementary aged school children helping develop their fluency skills and reading comprehension.
I really enjoyed this session, this week, and can’t wait tor resume!
I had the pleasure of creating the monthly newsletter for the month of November. In the newsletter, I was able to share with over 500+ students, past volunteers, and donors of Beyond Sports NC! I will be continuing to work with them on making monthly newsletters!
I greatly enjoyed going back to my old high school to talk and meet with kids about the realities of college and offer some advice! This was by far one of my favorite volunteering events!
I got the opportunity to help clean up a local street in here in Greensboro. I throughly enjoyed!
I got to work with high school seniors on their college applications! While also being there to answer any + all questions they had about college. It was a really great, hands-on service opportunity!
I enjoyed the bonding time with my N-Sisters. Got to walk around and help clean up the community around the park!
