While reading through the newspaper I learned alot about what was going on around the great depression, not only in the United States, but I also learned about how it is affecting other countries around the world, just as Israel. Through the middle of the newspaper i learned about how Nixon went on this great 5-country tour in Europe and how he was leaving at a weird time in the United States because of our current economic state. At the end of the newspaper, I learned about how Families in the south were going to be receiving free food stamps so that they could have the basic needs for living. I enjoyed working on this project, and I am excited to see what the future holds for me and community service.

I enjoy the opportunity to be able to read and go through these articles that are from a time when I was not around. the newspaper that I read was about President Truman during the Korean War. It is interesting to be able to see the language in the newspaper that varies from how we speak in the modern day. When I was reading through and translating the information in this newspaper, I noticed that this one had a lot more words on it, so it took me a little bit longer than the one I have previously done in the past. I enjoyed working with Diane and I continue to work with her in the future.

I enjoyed this opportunity to be able to work with Diane. this was my first time doing this kind of impact so it was completely new to me. I am happy that I was able to select my topic and I decided to choose world war 2. This was an article that told me a lot about what was going on in this area during the time. I am happy with the outcome of this event and its impact and I will continue to do something like this in the future.

I helped weigh in canned food at the entrance in exchange for chips to play in a poker tournament. I helped set up the event by moving around tables and helping organize chairs and names for people to sit.
