Involvement with In the Wings has deeply resonated with me, as it emphasizes the importance of exposing Black girls to the transformative world of performing arts. This outreach initiative not only provides them with creative opportunities but also empowers them by celebrating their identities in spaces that have historically marginalized them. The mission aligns with my own belief in the arts as a powerful vehicle for self-expression and cultural exploration. Through this program, I’ve witnessed firsthand how artistic experiences can ignite confidence, foster resilience, and cultivate leadership skills in young girls. It reaffirms my commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift and inspire future generations of Black women.
