I was a volunteer for the National Brain Tumor Society Race Walk where I, along with other MAPS members, engaged racers/walkers, handed out t-shirts, and provided healthy snacks and water for those who participated.

The goal of this community service project was to donate food, diapers, and paper towels for the Atlanta Children's Day Center. This initiative was also done with Spelman EPHC. Following donations, kits were also assembled with the donations provided. I was apart of collecting donations.
Some members of Spelman MAPs went to Peace Baptist Church to volunteer with their Peace on the Move Mobile Pantry that they do once a month. We packed grocery bags with bread and desserts, and there were other stations that filled bags with produce as well. Then we organized the food into boxes to place into people's car as they drove through the line. I definitely enjoyed this community service opportunity and hope to participate in the future.
This event was a partnered event between Spelman Mock Trial and Spelman MAPs to conduct a Diaper Donation Drive. This drive supported Our House; this is an organization that is dedicated to helping families who experience homelessness achieve stability and independence. I sat at the table in Upper Manley collecting donations for about an hour. We recieved much support.
I had a good time meeting the kids and learning about them and their future plans.
