I went and cuddled cats and kittens with a friend for 1.75 hours. They had a LOT of kittens who were very playful and then very sleepy. I also held Beluga for about an hour while he napped 😻

I volunteered for about 3 hours on the Make a Difference Day campus clean-up crew, where we mainly worked along the Prince's Point trail. Found some interesting stuff and had a nice walk!
I made cat and dog toys at the Alumni House for 45 minutes. Ended up with some cute tug ropes, and it will be fun to see how the cat treat tubes turn out with catnip!
I spent 5.5 hours at the Saturday Store in Hancock, helping to set up their new window display, wash the store windows, clean up paint flecks, and then sand down wood for new projects using handheld and belt sanders. An awesome place to volunteer with so many cool projects and people.
I played with cats for an hour; they had a lot of new cats in and plenty of fluffy loafs! Mainly Lobster, Director, Manager, and Limia this visit. Super loving critters.
I did Puppy Playtime for an hour at the humane society. They had two adorable, energetic puppies that loved the attention and I'm sure would love some more. They especially liked backscratches and anything to do with their squeaky pig toy.
Petted cats for an hour; they had multiple litters of kittens that liked to give nose bops, and Slow Feeder, Rhino, Shrimpy and Fang were all very needy creatures. Very cute!
I gardened at the Kalamazoo Nature Center for about 1.25 hours; super relaxing and we had a weed-free garden bed by the end. Great spot to volunteer!
It was pretty quiet at the shelter today in terms of cat volunteers, so there were very needy piles of cats head butting and squirreling around in my lap for most of the hour. I also played them a "cat calming" playlist on Spotify, and they seemed to like that.
