Autumn Breeze

Great first day!

Good orientation- provided a lot of resources for beginning interns.

I was able to find the location pretty well. I stocked an empty food box at Bellevue. I donated these 12 items for 2 hours:
Granola Bars x2
Peanut Butter
Jelly
Bartlett Sliced Pears x2
Pinto Beans x2
Garbanzo Beans x2
Black Beans x2

I volunteered to help out with the Weatherspoon Art Meuseum Artist Talk and Spring open house through CoWam. During this event, Lalla Essaydi, a visual artist from Morocco, came to give an artist talk about the complexities of Arab female identity. As people were coming in, I greeted guests and handed out pencils to go with their comment cards, cards where they could write down questions, thoughts, and anything else that came to mind. I also helped manage the CoWam table, an interdiscliplinary group that want to increase engagement between students and art through the Weatherspoon art museum. At the end, I helped break things down and clean up through folding tables and putting them away, taking off tablecloths and folding them, hauling tables away, and putting soda cans away into the pantry.
