I passed out shirt, packets, and registered people for the LaRue Breast Cancer Awareness 5K run happening the following day. The experience was eye-opening to there being such a huge community that supports or has survived cancer, and I found it inspiring that so many people came and registered today!

I was assigned to make an advert for Greensboro Beautiful's upcoming Holiday Greenery Festival. Greensboro Beautiful is a non-profit organization; this fundraiser directly helps the organization continue operation during the holiday season. Can't wait to see it distributed!

I volunteered with a student group led by Dr. Cech at Dunleath Community Garden. We uprooted invasive species, cleared vines and transformed plots that were previously overgrown with weeds.

This was a great experience seeing people take time out of their Saturdays and get active to make an impact! Breast Cancer runs in my family (no pun intended) and seeing so many people out there was really moving to know that others also have ties to this.

It was pretty good at the start, I was helping this one table a lot! Once we finished though I walked around to see if anyone else needed help and no one did. Made me feel like I wasn’t doing what I’m here to do; and that’s help people. I did like seeing the tables come to life with character and items that people have worked hard on. I enjoy the setting as well - the park is SO nice, I think I might come back just to walk around with friends!
