My medical trip to Guatemala was an eye-opening experience that deepened my understanding of global healthcare disparities and strengthened my passion for service. Working alongside healthcare professionals, I had the opportunity to assist in patient care, observe medical procedures, and engage with the local community. This experience not only reinforced my commitment to advocating for accessible healthcare but also allowed me to develop critical skills in teamwork, adaptability, and cultural competency. Witnessing the resilience of the patients and the dedication of the medical staff inspired me to continue pursuing opportunities that promote health equity and empower underserved communities.
Reading Connections is dedicated to creating a stronger, more equitable community by improving literacy for individuals of all ages and empowering them to navigate an increasingly complex world. As a volunteer, I devote my time to supporting mothers, helping them develop the skills they need to better support their children and create brighter futures for their families. I enjoy every morning of this volunteer opportunity.

Thank you for serving! |
At Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, I have actively contributed to the church community through various forms of service, including digital services, public speaking, and dance. I led and choreographed dance performances that were integrated into worship services, using dance as a medium of expression and spiritual connection. Additionally, I delivered impactful speeches during church events, focusing on empowerment, faith, and community-building. Through these experiences, I have been able to serve as a leader in the church, contributing to its spiritual and communal life, while strengthening my leadership and artistic skills in the context of faith-based service.
