Assisted in the gardening of various vegetables used to donate to local food banks. Something I noticed about the people here was that the environment was very relaxed, which I enjoyed alongside the labor. People worked together by splitting roles to get everything done efficiently, and there weren't any real problems encountered during my time. This experience aligned with my personal values of giving back and providing for others. I believe in taking any chance you can to give back and uplift others. I'm grateful for the opportunity to do just that. In terms of interests, I'm definitely more of a hands-on, heavy-duty kind of worker, and I was more than happy to get a chance to get messy and work hard for a little while. I learned how vital volunteer efforts like this are to some families who rely on charity to survive, and that doing a good job and achieving a successful harvest are essential endeavors. I learned from this experience that it is vital to have a strong leadership foundation and the ability to coordinate a team when supporting fundamental causes.
