Participating in fundraising for our parents weekend Music for Military Heroes concert is one of the most rewarding experiences I have had throughout my college years. As for the marketing and sales activities that took place before the event, I was active in promoting the concert through social media platforms as well as selling tickets to students and other members of the community.
I enjoy helping out with this in particular because I want to do anything I can to support our veterans and it hits close to home because I have several family members who have served in the army. This event meants something more than just having a fun concert with family and friends because it all goes to a good cause. The result was that we achieved our goal of gathering $13,000 for veteran nonprofits.
Concerning the business perspective, this event has shown the importance of marketing and implementing different strategies to promote ticket sales while also pursuing a particular mission to impact others. In the future, I want to use this experience to make a more contributions to helping others in the community.
