Volunteering at Rise Up Community Farms was a great experience overall. Upon arriving, I was welcomed by Anna Grace, who outlined the tasks for the day. We began preparing grow lines for various plants, which involved weeding, moving soil, and spreading minerals. Throughout the process, I saw how important organization and clear direction were in completing the work efficiently. Working in groups made the experience more valuable, it strengthened team building and improved task management. Overall, this opportunity helped me better understand the importance of collaboration and structure when working toward a common goal. I would highly recommend volunteering here to people of all ages.
