The 30th annual Howard University Alternative Spring Break (HUASB) program will take place March 2 - 9, 2024. HUASB is a nationally recognized service-learning program where students embrace the Howard University motto of “Truth and Service.” Coordinated through the Office of the Dean of the Chapel and offered at no cost to students, this student-led initiative allows students to discover the power of ethical leadership, civic engagement, and communal responsibility. Throughout my service I got to participate in various community service opportunities and youth empowerment/ development opportunities.

I had the opportunity to participate with Howard University 2023 Day of Service. I loved the experience and feeling that helping the community gave me. This volunteer service definitely encouraged me to want to participate in my service work.
