This experience was very fun and allowed me to be creative while also being able to teach young people about biology. While creating this book I had to put myself in a child's shoes and think about what would engage and entertain them while also giving them valuable information that will carry them throughout their years in school. The cell is the first thing usually discussed in biology so it was only fitting that this is what I based my book on for children who 9/10 have no background knowledge. I used things like Canva, google, and Dr.Seuss books in order to create my book and while it did take me a while, I feel the impact will outlast my time here at Howard.
