This past Sunday, I volunteered with BBBS by spending time with my Mentee. We spent time on a walk, talking about her upcoming spring break, family and friends. After, we went and got a fun drink from 7 brew and I dropped her back off at her parents home.
Over the last 3 months I have volunteered with BBBS and volunteered with my mentee. It is very impactful and I recommend to every college student to volunteer with BBBS.
Over the past five months, I have been meeting with the high-school student I mentor, Charlotte. We planned activities together, spent time hanging out, and built a consistent mentoring routine. I do this through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, where I serve as a volunteer.
I peer mentor a high school girl Charlotte this semester starting around February! Every week or every other week we go hangout, eat dinner or go shopping and I love mentoring her! She has taught me so much this semster and I love BBBS!
Making cards for pediatric patients to encourage them to prioritize their dental health was so much fun!
2 Service hours for volunteering at Tennie Russell and also donating children Christmas books for the holidays! I am so thankful I was able to make an impact!
I wrote cards to veterans for the holiday. I’m so thankful that I got to write these notes.
I went home and voted!
