The volunteer opportunity was really cool. The task was to go through loads of theater supplies and organize them by old, new, categories, etc. It was nice because the club got together and we all have fun talking about different stuff while organizing and putting the stuff away. I was 10/10 would recommend.

I had the opportunity to work with children in the Cincinnati area in a classroom setting, where I guided and taught students various math topics such as fraction multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division. Teaching these students was a rewarding experience, as I was able to help them grasp new concepts engagingly and enjoyably while building meaningful connections and making a lasting impact.
I participated in the Trunk or Treat hosted by the United Way in Greensboro, NC. It was a super cool experience because I got to volunteer with others apart in the AFA club. My job was candy runner which involved going around to different cars, asking, and offering extra candy to cars that were in need. It was super cool handing out candy, seeing all the people in costumes, and experiencing the fun vibes with the other volunteers. I would definetly do it again, 10/10 would recommend.
I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at Greensboro's annual "Art in the Arboretum," a lively event filled with food, music, and art vendors. I was tasked as counter and greeter at one of the three main entrances to the event. During my time there, I joyfully greeted people and pets as they walked in while keeping track of the number of people entering the event. I liked volunteering at the arboretum because the people, the atmosphere, and the people I worked with were all nice and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend either visiting as a guest or volunteering.
Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to participate in the Greensboro Greenway Run and Block Party at Lofi Park. As my second year volunteering at this event, I handed out water to those who crossed the finish line. This experience was just as cool as the last one, where I got to meet tons of new people, embrace the atmosphere of the block party, and see the runners complete either their one-mile or 5k. My volunteer partner was super cool and fun to talk to and made the whole experience fun. I give this volunteer experience a 10/10 and hope to return next year to do it again.
My roomate and I volunteered at the Earth Day festival as direction guides to different stations and events happening at the venue. It was really nice to interect with the people walking in and to tell them about all the cool stuff happening like the bingo, plant pick up, and microstations teaching people about different Earth Day related topics. 10/10 1000% recommend.
I really enjoyed my time at Cumberland park helping out maintaining the garden by rooting different weeds that threathen the local plants planted. It was nice, relaxing, and fun to listen to music and pull out weeds. 10/10 100% recommend.
I participated in the Delta's EMBODI program of holiday academic game day hosted by the Deltas and the Alphas in Cincinnati from 11am to 3pm. The day consisted of young African American males from grades 6th through 8th playing games geared towards history, reading, vocabulary, and math. I helped out on the math portion of the program, where I lead the game that help students brush up on their fraction skills. Overrall the experience was pretty fun since I love math and helping teach math to others. Hopefully I made math fun and less scary to those who participated.
I was featured as a guest speaker for my local Kappa League chapter in Cincinnati. As a former member of this Kappa League, I talked about what it's like to be a college student, scholarships, and other stuff. I liked it since it brought me back to the community that raised me to be a leader in my community. And being able to give back was very fun and rewarding. 10/10 would recommend.
I went with 3 other students and we all help assist runners on directions of their course by directing 1/2 marathoners one way and 5kers the other way. It was cool viewing the event, the vibes everyone had as they were running by. It felt good knowing that I had a part in making the experience for the runners good that day since I saw their faces light up when I told them that they were right next to the finish line. It was really fun and I would do it again
