Yesterday, I had the unique opportunity to assist the Ozark Mission Project in creating custom Christmas gifts for families in need in Northwest Arkansas. The project aims to transform lives by completing repair and care tasks for those who are in need. As volunteers, we used an automated saw to craft handmade Christmas trees to be gifted to local families. What stood out to me was the sense of community, as I was welcomed like one of their own, despite not being an official project member.

Today, my friends and I participated in Make a Difference Day by sorting items in Potter's House Warehouse. Before volunteering, one of the employees explained the objective behind the well-known thrift store. After noticing the cultural and economic divide in Fayetteville, they began to establish community by hosting programs, volunteering events, and offering funding to those in need. Most of the profit generates by the three stores in Northwest Arkansas contribute to goal of breaching this divide, which I fully support. I feel like together with the Potter's House, we can establish diversity here in Fayetteville.
